Band Face Pull · Preview
Setup
Secure a band to an anchor around face height and grasp it with both hands. Place one foot behind you and stand where the band has light tension.
Start phase
Spread your elbows as you pull the band toward your face. Bring your hands to either side of your face.
End phase
Control the band's pull as you slowly straighten your arms forward.
Target muscles
Focus on pulling with your rear shoulders and traps. Avoid bracing through your neck.
Common mistakes
Do not lean back or shrug. Check the band and its anchor before starting.
Breathing
Exhale as you pull and inhale as you extend your arms.
Coach tip
Choose a band resistance that lets you complete the pull. Keep your wrists straight and move both hands at the same speed.
