Setup
Stand on the pedals and lightly hold the handles. Align your knees with your toes and brace your core.
Start phase
Press the pedals alternately with a steady rhythm. Keep your upper body from bouncing and your center stable.
End phase
Lower the resistance and sit down slowly or reduce your speed. Finish smoothly until your heart rate settles.
Target muscles
Feel your quads and glutes take turns driving the pedals. Move with your lower-body rhythm instead of bracing heavily through your arms.
Common mistakes
Putting too much body weight on the handles tires your shoulders. Use your hands only for balance and keep your weight over your feet.
Breathing
Do not hold your breath as the intensity rises; keep it flowing. Maintain steady breathing with the pedal rhythm.
Coach tip
Start with short standing intervals mixed with seated work. Increase standing time once your form feels stable.
