One Arm Dumbbell Reverse Curl · Preview
Setup
Stand tall holding one dumbbell with an overhand grip, back of the hand up. Keep your elbow beside your torso and let the other arm rest naturally.
Start phase
Keep your wrist angle and curl using your forearm. Brace your core so your torso does not lean away.
End phase
Lower slowly while keeping tension in your forearm. Keep the overhand grip when your arm is fully extended.
Target muscles
Feel the top of your forearm and brachioradialis tighten. Working one side at a time makes forearm differences easier to notice.
Common mistakes
Bending your wrist or leaning away reduces forearm engagement. Prioritize a stable torso and neutral wrist over weight.
Breathing
Exhale as you lift and inhale as you lower. Keep breathing steadily one side at a time.
Coach tip
Start with the weaker side and match its reps and speed on the stronger side. Lower slowly while keeping your wrist straight.
